A man has died after a fire in a food factory on Sunday night 19th June 2011. The factory in the Scottish Borders occurred at 23.15 at Wicken Fen Food factory in Duns.
Although 60 firefighters fought the blaze throughout the night, tragically there was a male fatality. An investigation is under way to identify the source of the fire.
The FSO requires a fire risk assessment to be carried out in all non domestic premises. Failure to comply can result in severe penalities or even a custodial sentence.
